We went on patrol tonight and the area was pretty quiet. We ran into a few individuals who were drinking in public. After we informed them that it is illegal to drink in public they moved into their yard.
We encountered an accident scene. The person causing the accident was drunk and the other driver was not happy. The victim called SAPS an hour ago already. What made the situation worse was that another person came to assist the driver and this person was also under the influence of alcohol. We manage to remedy the situation with the help of other NHW members who saw my message for assistance. In the end the person was convinced to make a case at police station. We left the scene when everything was safe.
24 April
We went on patrol and ran into a few characters. We thought the construction site was invaded by people, but we found out that they are guarding the equipment. The also seem to be keeping an eye on the area.
We were also stop for a case of domestic violence. In such a case we cannot go after the offender. We can only contact SAPS and make sure the victim is safe.
