The night squad was in action again. Manage to get a 23km patrol in. Made a quick stop in 4th avenue where two perpetrators were apprehended.

Witblits was on patrol again, Seems all our vehicles was on sick leave. But they are always ready for action when they are healthy. Our GPS on the other hand still seems to be recovering. We once again had issues with the squatters at the Train station. Our area was pretty quiet except for an accident that ocurred.

After a long absence form patrolling. Kosie was back in action. We found that someone had made him a nice home among the plants and started to squad at the Station.
Apart from a few matric after parties, the area was very quiet. Even in our neighbouring NHW’s area it was pretty quiet.

We assisted at Simonsberg primary. Making sure the kids get off the busses. When done, we decided to do a quick snake patrol. We were 4 vehicles driving through the neighbourhood. In total darkness, we removed a couple of suspicious guys.
The rest of the patrol was pretty quiet.

Our nightsquad was out on patroll. Nothing to report. All seems to be quiet.

First time in a while that Kosie went on patrol. Our area was extremely quiet except for a few parties where ppl were drinking outside on the pavement. We informed them that it is illegal and they were quite cooperative. We also manage to find the person sleeping in the “gat” as we call it. Talked to him about dangers being there and what it holds for the surrounding residences.
We also went to our neighbouring NHW’s area in Eikendal. Was also very quiet there. On our way out of Eikendal back into Belmont Park we came across a Law Enforcement, Stop and search Operation. After this we ran into Law enforcement a view in Belmont Park as well.
We were even followed by Law Enforcement as we went into Peerless Park West. Was also very quiet in Peerless Park West except for a few people enjoying an Okka Pipe by the Fisheries under the trees. They said they are leaving soon and 10 min later they were gone.
After this we went over to Peerless Park East. All was quiet until we ran into a police Van busy searching “ou Kalante” next to the Hub. After short conversation with Police officers we went on our way and finish our patrol in Belmont Park which was still very quiet.

We were on night Squad duty again. Are was quiet until we receive information of a burglary. We spotted two suspects. They manage to evade the patrol by jumping into people’s yard and run into the the street at the back. However we were able to recover the stolen items.

Followed up on Safety group report of an accident. A drunk driver drove into a stationery vehicle. A white Haval drove into a stationery BMW standing on the pavement. Please People. DO NOT drink and drive.

We had an early morning patrol to break our pattern of patrolling. We had as motor vehicle break in in Rugby park. Unfortunately the owners did not make a case. Although the radio and car battery was stolen and no case was made. This gives the culprits the opportunity do do it again, since no case was made and no finger prints was taken 🙁

We were on patrol. Manage to visit other nhw areas as well.
We encountered person who trying to hide things in a bush in PPE. We confronted him. The resident of the house were unaware of his activities out side in front of their house. Please remember a bug bush or shrub is a good hiding place for criminals. They like to hide their weapons and loot in the bushes.
We Also encountered a parked car by exit. The person were intoxicated, but we convinced him to rather park infront of his girlfriends house. Safer there and.
We had to cut out patrol short in Eikendal, due to a problem in Belmont Park. There was not much we can do. The person did not want to make a case and we recommended he see a dr. the next day. One needs to remember that that where alcohols is present, trouble normally follows. Make sure you are prepared for that and that you have emergency services numbers at hand

We decided to start a bit later than usual. just to break routine. But area was pretty quiet.

We were out and about on patrol again. Area was overall very quiet.
Had a case of domestic violence. We try not to get involve in such cases. The best we can do is get the SAPS involved, if it is really series. Otherwise the people normally calm down on their own.
We came upon an abandoned box of clothing in 11th ave. Was all nicely packed in a box. Since the clothing was not doing anyone any harm, we let it be.
We also had time to visit our neighbouring Pearless Park East and West.
5 March 2022
Our patrol started out with one vehicle. A second vehicle joined us later. We encountered a few drunk teenagers sitting in the middle of road. One of them were sick of all the alcohol he had consumed. We asked them to rather sit inside their yard and not in the middle of the street. One has to remember while on patrol we are not allowed to transport any person. We have to contact SAPS or Emergency services.
We also encountered a stationery vehicle with romantic intentions. It did take a flashing white light to get their attention. They then swiftly departed from the area.
We also visited our neighboring PPW and PPE. In PPW we encountered a two males and a female looking for their keys, because they apparently cannot enter the house to make some snackwiches.
As we departed from PPE and moving towards Belmont Park we came across an accident scene which occurred minutes ago. The accident happened on the corner of 8th avenue and voortrekker opposite the Post Office. 3 cars were involved. Most of the occupants presumed to be under the influence and the driver of the one vehicle ran away. The other vehicle drove away and was found in 6th avenue with a missing driver, but nicely parked.

Ran into reckless driver. The driver was highly intoxicated. He ended up stopping at party. Please NOTE driving under the influence is a crime and if cause an accident where people gets hurt or even killed, you can go to jail.
Ran into scene where people try to steal part of a fence from Prasa. Rapid and Landry was able to assist in apprehending the suspect.

Our patrol started as normal. Also made a turn in our neighbouring NHW area. We came across a car that was broken into. In the end the car was not stolen, but part of a dispute between driver and girlfriend. Just be vigilant who you borrow your vehicle to. Any crime committed with your vehicle, you might be held responsible for all crime and trespasses committed with your vehicle.

Evening started ok, but soon turned into action scene. A bit of off-roading in Witblits and with assistance of other NHW’s and security companies we secured the loot (barbed wire)
Also confiscated mandrax on suspect.

We had two patrols vehicles available tonight. The more the merrier. Vehicle1’s GPS went a bit hay wire 🙁 The night was quiet except for a burglary in PPE and shots that were fired. We could not confirm the shots that were fired. When we got to the scene, everything was quiet.

On patrol we found fire on Maroela and Voortrekker. Called the Firebrigade. Resident complained about three coloured males being in her yard. Lady in 3rd avenue had simular complained of the three guys. When we encountered them. We asked them to immediately leave the Area.
PLEASE NOTE: We are not SAPS or Law enforcement. We do not have the right it enter a property without owener’s concent. We are the eyes for them. We see something wrong we inform them or they can assist us in sorting out the problem.

Our patrol started usual focusing on Plantation road. Very quiet except for low hanging tree branches that needs to be cut. Also we found unusual amount of well-dressed people who are homeless where one claimed to be delivering a pair of “plakkies” to someone at 4:30 am in the morning.
Came across the cuties little puppy. Was about to pick him up, but his owner let him out to do his business and he was returning home.

We ran into an individual who had no working lights on his motorbike. He was very upset with us talking to him about it. He was almost ran over. No reflectors even.
We also ran into a stationery vehicle. Have not came across one those in a while. We asked them to leave the area since it is not safe.
We also visited the our dr’s squatters and reprimanded them about the fire as well as complaints of dumping their rubbish in the childresn’s home.
We also had time to visit PPW and PPE.
We came accross an individual drinking apparently Jive from a bottle. His speech and body language suggests something else in his cold drink bottle.
Rest of evening was pretty quiet.

The area was extremely quiet. Had a noise complaint about music that was playing extremely load. It ended up being a funeral and that they had permission. One can normally apply for a permit to have music for an event. In this case a funeral.
We also had some time left to make a turn in 0ne of our neighbouring Neighbourhood Watch PPW

Our 1st patrol for 2022. It started of pretty quiet. We ran into a rowdy crowd, making music.
It turned out to be ladies of the night and their boss man. We removed them the robot and did a search of them as well. They moved away. Later they were back again and they moved away to taunt us at the bus stop, but we removed them again. Very unhappy because we are apparently harassing them. Then it was cat and mouse. They moved from one location to another location. We finally ran into them again at the Engen garage. This is one of the problems we need to address with Law enforcement 🙁
Also did a few searches, but did not find anything. Astonishing was the fact that the skarrelaars still had their pyjamas and even gown underneath their clothes! Was it to get rid of their clothes after they committed a crime and was caught in their pyjamas?
Something that was new to me, maybe because I was out of action for a while was the amount of people waiting to be loaded on trucks to do work. Bigger was the surprise to find another different group waiting at the NG Church also to be picked up by a truck?
We stopped patrolling after 6 o clock.
