We went out on visibilty patrol again with two vehicles.

We decided on a visibility patrol in Station road, followed by a perimeter patrol of our area.

We decided on a visibility patrol in Station road, followed by a perimeter patrol of our area.
We also invited security companies to be part of our visibility patrol.
We braaid boerewors and shared boerewors rolls with members and security companies.
We also stopped quite a few people from drinking in public as well as in their cars parked outside the liquor store.
Also had opportunity to speak to members of the community,

We were out on patrol with two vehicles. Area was peaceful except for few people that was walking through our area.

We went on patrol tonight. also hooked up with other NHW in sector3. Our Area were fairly quiet, a few people walking around, some moved out of our area, when they saw us in area.

We went on visibility patrol again. Encountered a resident in Tyne Street sweeping the street. Seems all the garbage from the field us blowing down the street. We also encountered a resident sweeping the street in 5th avenue. The problem was blocked drains. Seem leaves and other garbage are making their life miserable.
We encountered soccer players as well and in one case it looked like they were about to jump the fence of a house. We stopped them only to found out that they were looking for their ball. The coach showed up and remedied the situation.
We encountered people drinking on station road in vehicles. We talked to them.

We went out on visibility patrol, We were able to clear the streets from people drinking on the streets and parked cars.
Also, please note, when contacting SAPS for assistance on the sector cell phone, you might not get through to them. If they are standing off at a scene they will not be able to assist. Your best bet would be to call the emergency numbers as is it is appears on our Safety Page.

We were able to talk to couple residents and explain the plight of SAPS as well.

We had a short patrol in honour of one of our neighbouring nhw’s members. We were more that one vehicle plus the police van. We made use of this and went to look at station road and plantation road.
Plantation road was pretty quiet, however not station road where the liquor store is.
We together with all the other nhw’s stayed until the loquor store closed. We did attend to a few illegal drinking before we booked off.
9 March 2024
We decided on a Visibility Patrol, Targeting Plantation and Station Road.
We decided to stop at liquore store and talk to customers. Also making sure they buy theit liquor and leave the premises.
People bought and left the premises. Quite few customers showed up with unroadworthy vehicles and not to mention the out of date licence disks on their vehicles.
16 February 2024
We were able to do a visibility patrol again. Focusing again on Station road and plantation road. Caught a few people drinking at the Church near corner of 9th avenue and plantation road. They promised to leave. Later some of them were still there.
With the help of Law enforcement, the drinkers were removed. They were even given tickets as well as their liquor confiscated. They did not know it was illegal to drink there.
The rest of the evening was quiet. We also talked to the people on plantation road, not sit around on people’s front pavement, because they are becoming targets for robberies.

We were able to patrol again tonight. We were stopped by resident who reported suspicious activity. Upon arrival it was a problematic taxi. Contacted Law Enforcement who showed and a ticket was issued

We were patrolling with Bicycles tonight. We were able to engage with the community about their problems and issues as a result of covid city. Community engagement on this day was pretty good.

Our 1st bicycle patrol for the year. We were able to talk to coaches who is coaching the children on the field. We talked to them about keeping the place clean and not to mess and respect residents’ properties

We were able to patrol in our neighboring areas. We found a fire on the field and the emergency services were contacted to put out the fire.

Tonight we were able to patrol on other areas and the night was fairly uneventful
